Storey

I designed a workspace platform for British Land that made booking rooms, inviting guests and getting support simple, and unlocked new revenue opportunities.

What I did:
  • User flows
  • User journeys
  • Wireframes
  • UI design collaboration

Challenge

British Land's workspace customers were stuck with a clunky, outdated platform

Booking a room, inviting a guest or logging a support issue all felt harder than it should. British Land wanted a best-in-class replacement for a flagship London building — one people would actually enjoy using every day.

Examples of

Key Design Decisions

  • Storey Connect homepage on a phone, greeting the member with the weather and community messages

    The day at a glance

The homepage shows key information first: room bookings, guests and messages from the space team.

  • Room card for 3.1 Coral showing its location, capacity, equipment and quick booking times

    Find a room in seconds

Detailed filters, inspired by Airbnb, help people narrow down to the right space fast, with key room details easy to compare.

  • Visitor pass email showing the guest's name, host, date, time and address

    Guests without the hassle

Invited guests get a visitor pass automatically, so nobody has to tell reception or print anything on the day.

Outcomes

The impact

  • New revenue

Extras like catering and workshop kit, built into booking, let British Land sell more products and services

  • Cohesive

Bookings, guests, support and emails all share one consistent experience, so the platform feels considered, not disjointed

  • Dev-ready

Specs covered every edge case, from error states to scrolling, so development moved fast with minimal back-and-forth
